Capilla Cayrasco is an ensemble dedicated to the performance of sacred music linked to  cathedrals, churches, and the private chapels of the nobility and royalty. Capilla Cayrasco has a particular interest in music of the Spanish colonial era, especially from the Canary Islands. The group takes its name from Bartolomé Cairasco de Figueroa (1538-1610), the Canarian poet, playwright and musician, founder of the first humanist academy in the Canary Islands.
